How To Present Your Product With Ease

Ask VitoQ: I have an incredible product, active pure technology and am not sure how to get out into my community to market it.  I am intimidated in large groups and then find myself in a corner somewhere.  I am very friendly, approachable, knowledgeable etc.  Just have no idea what to say to folks.  I have joined my local ladies group and Chamber of Commerce and still have no idea how to start a conversation with these folks.  I do so appreciate any tips you can give me.

A: Until you are really comfortable with yourself and your product or service, talking about it in groups of ANY size will feel intimating.  There are two possible ways to address this issue.

If your challenge is with starting a conversation, simply begin by asking a person what they do, then determine if they have the problem your product or service solves. If it does not, share a resource that you know about that may support them even if it’s not your product. Then you can share a bit about what your product does just in case they know of someone it may help.  Even if they’re not a potential customer right now, you never know who they may send your way.

If your challenge is you that don’t know what to say about your product or services in a way that causses a person to want what you sell immediately, then there’s so work to do.

You need to know the “why” of your business. Once you have that unshakable clarity in place, there are dozens of ways to market depending on the product, your customer target, your passion, and your natural abilities.
